.... carve in wood.
I like wood.
I like the smell.
The feel to it's smooth surface after grinding, sanding and buffing it, forming it into a velvet like touch.
And off course, the origin of wood; the tree.
They stand there, embracing the sunlight.
Growing, firmly, making the statement of BEING there.
Hit a tree with your head, and you will see what I mean.
Wood is lasting quite a while.
A few hundred years.
Maybe a thousand.
Or several thousand, if the conditions were right.
I'm not aiming that high though.
If I could make something out of wood, and someone could still handle it in, say, 450 years from now, I'd be delighted.
What difference does it make?
Say 450 years after the first 450 years?
Still; I'd like to carve some wood......
